Baltimore Orioles’ outfielder Adam Jones has been tapped by state health officials as the new voice for universal healthcare.
Jones joined local leaders and healthcare partners on Friday to kick off a radio ad campaign urging residents to sign up for health insurance before the Feb. 15 deadline.
In the ad, Jones reminds listeners to call 211 or go to MarylandHealthConnection.gov to learn more about their healthcare options.
The ads are sponsored by the Maryland Health Care For All! Coalition and will run through the end of the open enrollment period.
Hear how the ad hits a personal note with Jones in the video above.
