Maryland Citizens’ Health Initiative To Hold Press Conference To Highlight New Prescription Drug Price Gouging Law

(BALTIMORE, MD.  October 30, 2017) – On Wednesday, November  1st at 1pm at MedChi, the Maryland State Medical Society, 1211 Cathedral Street in Baltimore City, Maryland Attorney General Brian Frosh will join Baltimore County Executive Kevin Kamenetz, Delegate Cheryl Glenn (and Maryland Legislative Black Caucus Chair), Baltimore City Health Commissioner Dr. Leana Wen and the Maryland Health Care For All! Coalition to highlight Maryland’s landmark new law prohibiting price gouging by manufacturers of generic and off-patent prescription drugs.  County Executive Kamenetz and Dr. Wen will announce their plans to ask people in their counties to go to www.healthcareforall.com/hearmystory to share their stories of how escalating prescription drug prices have hurt them or their families.  People can tell their stories in English or Spanish.
