The Maryland Health Benefit Exchange has awarded contracts to organizations that are interested in helping consumers learn about, apply for and enroll in health insurance, including Medicaid, the Maryland Children’s Health Program, and subsidized and non-subsidized qualified health plans. These organizations are called connector entities, and Healthy Howard is one of Maryland’s six connector entities.

Healthy Howard provides assistance to Howard, Carroll, Frederick, Washington, Allegany, and Garrett county. Their health plan gives access to affordable health providers that help families get healthy and stay healthy. The Door to Health Care is their “one-stop-shop” that provides information on eligibility and enrollment. They provide uninsured residents with the latest information about Medicaid, Maryland Children’s Health Program, Medical Assistance for Families, and PAC. Healthy Howard also provides assistance by phone or in person by a bilingual staff. Their hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
