EXCERPT:

Eddie Murray, the Baltimore Orioles’ Hall of Fame first baseman and designated hitter, is set to star in a radio ad that will begin airing next week, designed to increase the number of Marylanders with health care coverage.

Murray’s ad will spread the word about the new Maryland Easy Enrollment Health Insurance Program, which will allow state tax filers who have no insurance coverage to begin signing up for health insurance by checking a box on their state income tax returns.

The General Assembly created the first-of-its-kind program last year to make it easier for uninsured Marylanders to learn about their options for signing up for insurance.

“Starting this year, there’s an easy enrollment for health care, if you’re not already insured,” Murray says in the radio spot.
