We have made great progress toward making coverage more affordable and easier to access.

But there is still much more to do! Despite great gains since the Affordable Care Act went into effect, hundreds of thousands of Marylanders still are without health coverage.

In this op-ed in the Baltimore Sun, Vincent DeMarco describes our agenda for how to ensure that EVERY Marylander has access to quality, affordable health care. Maryland needs to enact auto-enrollment for uninsured Marylanders who qualify for free or very low-cost coverage, expand subsidies for individuals and small businesses, and remove immigration status as a barrier to coverage.
