“Representatives from the Maryland Health Care for All Coalition (HCFA) visited Garrett County last week to discuss several current issues and give updates.
Vincent DeMarco, President, and Suzanne Schlattman, Deputy Director, took some time for an interview last Thursday before meeting with County Administrator Kevin Null.
“I wanted to start with prescription drug affordability,” DeMarco said, “Because there was an article in your paper last summer about the Prescription Drug Affordability Board, and that board is about to act to make high-cost drugs more affordable for state and local governments. It’s going to happen this year, and we’re actually here talking with folks in Garrett County government about it.”
