Text: Working to win quality, affordable health care for all Marylanders

Endorse our Health Care for All Resolution

We made great progress this past legislative session toward making coverage more affordable for small businesses and nonprofits, and expanding Medicaid to pregnant Marylanders and their babies regardless of immigration status.

But there is still much more to do! Despite great gains since the Affordable Care Act went into effect, hundreds of thousands of Marylanders still are without health coverage.

In this op-ed in the Baltimore Sun, Vincent DeMarco describes our agenda for how to ensure that EVERY Marylander has access to quality, affordable health care. Maryland needs to enact auto-enrollment for uninsured Marylanders who qualify for free or very low-cost coverage, expand subsidies for individuals and small businesses, and remove immigration status as a barrier to coverage.
